A trip to China
One month in China…of the visits diversified in the most beautiful regions, particularly Yunnan, which means the South of Clouds. This province situated in the Southwest of the people's republic of China, the capital of which is Kunming: city of the eternal Spring, abounds in a fauna and a particular flora. Lands are there very fertile. Perceived as the paradise of plants and animals, this wild environment possesses landscapes of a big variety, high plateaus of the Tibet or we produce some tea up to the rain forests of Xishuangbanna. It is from here that is extracted the best essential oil of Litsea Cubeba of cinnamon. The Chinese medicine uses them enormously because they have soothing, heating, anti-inflammatory virtues and are an excellent digestive stimulant.
A trip to India
Our second escapade in the Southwest of the Indian peninsula … That to say? A magic, beautiful, dirty, noisy, joyful country and at the same time extremely sad, in the festive colors. The aim of this journey was to meet the local producers of essential oil of sandalwood situated in the region of Kerala. The wood of sandalwood is an endangered botanical species today, because it is used a lot in crafts: sculpture, incense, embalming of the deaths and was used to the construction of temples.
Its essence is checked that’s why is price is excessively high. Extremely asked by the local people but also by all Asia and for the Middle East, it is recognized for these virtues of beauty. During a visit to Cochin, we met Indian young ladies who apply in care daily to the face; a mask was elaborated with some wooden powder of sandalwood mixed in some milk: ancestral custom to give the skin its entire splendor.
